Cooking test...

On Tuesday the students at Smile Kids Village had a test of the cooking skills that they have been learning over the last few months - so that means that I get to test everything mmmmmmm - life is so hard!!

Here is Seanghorn cooking a curry - she is so sweet and has become much more confident in the last few weeks - can really see her progressing especially when she is dealing with customers - she looks about 12 but is actually 17
Lots of lovely fresh fruit and veg...
Sokky, Seanghorn and Kimhoeun
Chillis, shallots and garlic - yummy
Nimet, Sokky, Bunsak and Seanghorn
Peakadey the cooking teacher at the village.
Sokleang and Sreymi
Sugar and spice and all things nice...
This is the kitchen up at the Smile kids Village

This is a delicious sweet, sour and spicy beef salad - one of my favs on the menu.
More sugar, spice and all things nice - great curry paste with the spoon in it.
These are all the new generation of students that are learning at the village at the mo and they take it in turns to come and work with the older generation of students at the Smile Restaurant. Soklin, Nimet, Kimhouen, Vichet, Sokky, Bunsak, Sokleang, Sreymi and Seanghorn

A common sight at every door way that you come through in Cambodia.

One of the many bins made out of old tyres
The final dishes - Fish Amok, Beef Salad, Fish Curry and Chicken Spicy Soup
Love these palm trees - they link the old Wat Nokor Bachey to the Smile Kids Village
