Lake Boeng Thum & a duck farm


Out on a field trip visiting the families of some of the students on scholarship and we literally turned a corner and there was this massive lake - the lakes here put some of the lakes in the lake district to shame in terms of size.

The Propellers out here are amazingly long - unlike the ones we have in the UK that go down - these ones have to sit just on the surface of the water. This is especially useful in the dry season when there isn't that much water and these boats just skim along the surface. Also you never know what is lurking underneath the surface here.....

This is where the farmer lives - just above his ducks - so he can keep an eye on them.
