Mondulkiri road trip with the Van de Waals - part 5

Cat on a hot tin roof

The last part of the trip home we got caught in a down pour - we called in to have a look at Prey Nokor - Banteay Prey Nokor is a former capital of the pre-Angkor period. It was re-chosen as a capital city in the 16th century during the reign of Luong Preah Sdech Korn ( also named King Preah Srey Chetha). Banteay Prey Nokor temple historical site has square wall surrounded at 2,500 meters for each corner. The wall built of sand mud with 5-7 meters high and 20-25 meters width, but most part collapsed. Dense bamboos were grown on the top and both sides of the dike.
The two old towers that are still remaining.

Couldn't quite figure out what this sign meant?

Anyone for marmite!

The map shows the old area with the moat going around it and all the sites

There is something about Beate that water buffalo like...
