Bamboo Bridge and Island trip by bicycle

Earlier in the year a few of us did another bike trip over to the local island on the Mekong - great day of meandering around the island was had by all. We went over on the Bamboo Bridge and back via one of the little ferries further downriver.

The fishing boat villages - these move with the water - they have everything they need on the boats and move where every they need to to get fish to sell at the markets.

The Bamboo bridge that is built every year - when it started it looked like the bamboo was floating on the top of the river but as the water levels dropped you can see all the supports they put in.
