Day out with the Smile Kid Village trainees.... Wat Hanchey

A few weeks ago we took the 23 trainees (sewing, weaving & cooking/service) out for the day to a local spot called Wat Hanchey, to have a fun relaxing day.

Our ED - Venerable Vandong Thorn at the ready, waiting to go - not his usual head gear!!

Group games - fun was had by all - even had a rendition of the Band Aid hit as one of the forfeits - quite surreal!!

Even the local gibbon came and joined us - surprisingly he only seemed to appear when there was food..

Tis the season for Jackfruit at the mo - lovely - they seem to get bigger and bigger - tried to buy one the other day and it was too heavy to carry!!

 

Simon realised that concrete statues get quite hot in the sun!!
